Pieces of blue, torn, vintage book cover are added for a pop of color.
The bird is painted on muslin and cut.
Assembled on acrylic and ink painted watercolor paper.
Partial poem written by young student in off-center space was randomly cut from a vintage poetry book and reads as follows:
winds are blowing.
brooks are flowing,
the bright flowers of Spring will
are showing,
sunshine's glowing,
sweet songs of the birds we wil
