Spring

Abstract trees collaged and acrylic painted on canvas board.
Using strips from the cover of a 1964 LIFE magazine to represent tree trunks, this painting drips and splatters acrylic paint to build the tree foliage.
Added texture and layers build a feast for the eyes and celebrates the senses of Spring trees.
Lines of poem at bottom by William Wordsworth, "Lines Written in Early Spring", is typed on tissue and collaged. Poem lines read:
Through primrose tufts, in the that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breaths.
