Winter

Abstract trees collaged and acrylic painted on canvas board.
Using vintage filmstrip collaged to represent tree trunks, this painting drips and splatters acrylic paint to build the tree foliage in Winter.
Added texture and layers build a feast for the eyes and celebrates the senses of Winter trees.
Lines of poem at bottom by Robert Frost, "Looking for a Sunset Bird in Winter", is typed on tissue and collaged. Poem lines read:
The west was getting out of gold,
The breath of air had died of cold,
I thought I saw a bird alight,
When shoeing home across the white.
